• The Story

  When a small-town community center burns, the local sketch comedy troupe seeks a new performance space. A conservative church lends the troupe its fellowship hall, though the troupe's notoriously risqué material presents a concern for the pastor. A widowed church lady is assigned to monitor the troupe and report back to the pastor, but a complex power struggle ensues as she becomes increasingly embroiled with the outsiders.

Profile:

Jennie Floyd is an actor, singer/songwriter, and award-winning poet/essayist. Originally from Alabama, she has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1996. Prior to becoming an actress in 2001, she had a successful 21 year career in the telecommunications industry, before an on-the-job back injury and a diagnosis of lupus forced her early retirement at age 42. Jennie has appeared in more than 100 films and TV shows in the last eight years. She is married to Keith McConnell, a computer scientist, and is a dog mama to her 10-year-old pug, Pasha.
